Chemical peels work by resurfacing the top layers of the skin. By lightly, or deeply exfoliating these old damaged cells, your skin will naturally produce younger, more uniform cells. The beauty of peels is that there are many combinations of ingredients and depths that we can use to treat a broad range of conditions including acne, sun damage, fine lines, texture and pigmentation. Downtime ranges from no downtime to 5-7 days depending on depth. Chemical peels are a wonderful adjunct to other treatments such as laser, microneedling and facials.
Three levels of chemical peels are available. Choose the one that is right for you.
Light Chemical Peel or a superficial chemical peel removes the outer layer of your skin cells or the epidermis. A light chemical peel is used to treat fine wrinkles, uneven skin tone, dryness, and acne. Light chemical peels are available as often as every two to five weeks.
Medium Chemical Peels work on your epidermis and a part of the middle layer of your skin or the dermis. Medium chemical peels treat wrinkles, acne scars, and uneven skin tones. A medium chemical peel can be redone after three to nine months to help you preserve your youthful-looking skin.
Deep Chemical Peels remove the skin cells from the top layer of your skin and portions of the mid to lower layers of your skin. A deep chemical peel can help deep wrinkles, deep scars, or pre-cancerous growths.
